The City of Worcester Fire Department will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for its new South Division Fire Station on Monday, June 1, 2026.
The new station will be located at 135 Southbridge Street, at the corner of Southbridge Street and Madison Street. According to the City of Worcester, the project will replace the current South Division Fire Station, which was built in 1959.
The new facility will feature a six-bay design and is expected to take 18 to 24 months to construct.
